Can't copy .exe file to ZIP drive
« on: February 27, 2024, 11:56:08 am »

I'm trying to copy MediaCenter320020.x64.exe from my laptop over to the computer where JRiver is installed and running. To do this, I want to put it onto a ZIP/Flash drive. But I can't and get message that's attached. Never had this problem with prior versions, any ideas?

Have you tried "Yes" ?
This happens when your USB stick is formatted with FAT32, and can be ignored. If the copy fails then try reformatting as NTFS. If it still fails after that, then it's something else like Antivirus or damaged stick.

Thanks. I just entered "yes" and it seemed to copy ok. I was concerned about this because I didn't know "what" attributes it was referring to. Like something within jriver itself. I'm going to give that file a try and if it installs... that'll be a good thing.

It's usually the Security information, like who can read and write to the file (your account/Administrator/Everyone/etc). That can't be stored on FAT32.
