Audio bandwidth vs mp3 bit depth?
« on: January 08, 2003, 08:15:01 am »

Is there any info available to indicate what bandwidth (audio 20-20k) is associated with a given bit depth when encoding wav's to mp3's?
I will be using VBR and converting wav's that are either clean or have been cleaned up.
My cd library is ape but I do not think that I want to go there with vinyl, however I do want the best sounding mp3 that can be gotten.
Thanks, Glen

Hydrogen Audio's MP3 Tech forum would be a good place to check for info and ask questions.
