Vanishing import folders [Solved]
Ekpen:
Hello:
Since version 32 started, My import folders
will suddenly disappear.
As a result of this, folders with new mkvs do not get updated, until I add those folders, again.

Sorry George, but it will be impossible for anyone to assist with your issue unless you provide more information.
My own experience has been flawless. Moving from 31 to 32, all of my auto import settings came across, and have remained intact. Thank the MC team as there's very heavy and complex use of 'tag on import' rules in there.
So I guess first and most important question is...
Where do these folders that keep disappearing reside? On a NAS by any chance? Or maybe a removable drive?
Ekpen:
folders are on regular drives
With MC 31, I never had any problem.
When I migrated to MC 32, folders were migrated.
But a few days later, most of the paths will be removed.
I have recently zapped the database, reprocessed the paths one by one. Then run the imports.
The files do not get erased, just the various paths.
When this occur, folders watching will not work, new mkvs will not auto update, I have to rekey the paths again.
Thanks.
George Omoregie.
bob:
1) Are you using a portable database?
2) Was your existing database in the stock location or somewhere else?

Does it happen after you reboot?
If so you're likely on a TEMP user profile (ie, your user profile is corrupt); or perhaps you use some software like deep-freeze to keep the PC always in the same condition?
In either case, you'd notice other things in Windows that would also revert on reboot.
