MC downloads every time I launch it [Solved]
« on: March 30, 2024, 02:30:33 pm »

I've recently downloaded MC32. Each time I launch it, it wants to download again. It then gives me a prompt "Update failed" with a choice of options: retry or skip update. How can I stop it from doing this?

Manually download MC32 from this topic and copy/paste or drag the Media Center 32 in the window after launching the .dmg file into the Applications folder and start Media Center 32 from there.

As for why it fails, maybe there's a permission that needs to be granted to allow MC to update itself correctly? Might be something to check.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I've done the first thing you suggest, fingers crossed. As for permissions, I've looked into that without spotting anything unfortunately.
