« on: June 08, 2024, 09:08:31 am »

How can I disable the display view pop-ups? Couldn't find that anything that helps.
Above all the pop-ups are totally annoying.

Here is a picture of the Tools >> Options >> Tree & View >> List.
Setting "Show Toolitips" to "No" doesn't work. There are still pop-ups.

What are you calling a display view popup? Display view playing video? Display view trackinfos?
Provide a screen shot please.

Wow - That screen shot sure is Weird and does not look like any Display View window I've ever seen. It actually looks like the Standard View window/screen with a Detached Display Panel sitting on top of it.

Try this - select a view from the Tree that allows you to see the "Display Panel" at the bottom of the tree, if it is empty then right click in the empty panel and select the "Reattach Window/Panel" option.

The display panel looks as in the appended screenshots and never is empty. I only can see a display window there if I am playing a file and a right click doesn't offer a "Reattach Window/Panel" option.

It's usually in the lower left of the action window called display

You have detached your playing now window from main program. In windows press ctrl+6 when it is displaying to toggle it away. I don't know what is equivalent in Mac. In your first picture there is also that info that double click here to (lower left) cancel detach. That works also

Maybe I am stupid but all doesn't help. After detaching the cover view in the album scheme I always get these pop-ups (M1 Pro, Sonoma 14.5, MC 32.0.52).

aliciaviola - Apple doesn't provide an Equivalent of the Microsoft Detached Window - since there is no way of getting it to work properly the "Detach Display" Option should be removed from the Mac OS Version of MC, along with a few other options/commands that do not work on the Mac platform.

Thanks for the comment. That explains much. At the end it's mainly a Windows program. Hope that the problem will be changed in one of the next updates.
