Possibly related to Multi-Zones?
« on: February 07, 2003, 08:25:25 am »

Is it possible to assign specific DSP settings to a particular file or group of files?  For example, I may have my environment set to Recording Studio Level 5 for music but I have some spoken word that suffers from too much reverb.  Right now, I have to go into the DSP and manually change it when I want to play certain files and then change it back when I want to hear music.

Any clues, ideas?  Should this be a feature request?

You could set up a separate zone -- one for music, one for spoken word.

Otherwise, doing it by hand is the only choice.

Also, we may add DSP profile saving / loading, but it's a little tricky so may not be until version 9.1 or 10.

Thanks.

Ah, thank you.  This is exactly what I need other than the ability to add preferred zone to files in the DB so that a zone is automatically changed when a certain file type is played.  This isn't a huge deal, really, since I never mix spoken word and music.
