CD re-ripping options?
«

I seem to recall that if a cd is already in the library MC would ask if you wanted to re-rip it or cancel. But it's not doing it now.
This is probably a setting somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Any pointers? I've looked in Tools -> Options -> CD, DVD & BD.

I think CD, DVD, & BD --> CD Ripping --> File Management "Overwrite existing files that have the same name" has to be checked. I could be wrong, but mine's checked and when ripping already ripped CDs it prompts me.

I think that settings controls whether to make a second set of files vs overwriting the existing ones.
There's another setting that prompts the user to rip, play, or do nothing.
But I'm not finding the setting for "prompt if the cd is already in your library".

It's not a setting. MC does this auto-magically when you press the "Rip CD" button on a CD you already ripped. I'm not sure what the logic is behind the detection.

Well, for whatever reason, that feature stopped working. I restarted MC and it appears to be working again.
I recall that iTunes would let me decide which tracks to replace. but don't remember if MC ever did this. It would be a useful feature since I find that it's often only one or two tracks that are corrupt.
