Move files between libraries

I have a large main library, and several smaller libraries that are populated from physical file folders separate from the main library folder.  Is there a way to identify albums in the main library, and then have them seen and accessed by the other libraries?  Currently, I am copying the files from the main library disc location and pasting into the second library's disc location and then running import.  I would prefer to not have multiple copies of the same data in different file structures to support different libraries.
