organizing MKV files
« on: May 05, 2024, 11:12:34 am »

I have some MKV files that are music videos, some are Atmos music files with no video, The only options in the menu under Video are as shown. None are actually Movies but that's the only way I can get them to show up except for in Files.

So Under Video can I add a Library view for Music category and a Music Video category instead of lumping everything into Movies? There is a category for Home Videos and Shows but not Music or Music Videos even though you can tag them that way.

UPDATE: I figured out I can rename Home Videos and Shows to what I want... but would still like to add categories instead of being limited to the default 4 given

You are not limited to four. You can increase the number of entries listed under the Video (or Audio) heading by right-clicking and selecting Add Library View.... On the next screen, select the Empty View, enter a title at the bottom left of the screen and click OK. You can then create a view containing whatever you want. It's a very powerful tool.
