WDM startup stutter
« on: May 08, 2024, 07:56:09 am »

When using the WDM driver with Qobuz, there is a stutter every time I am switching songs. This could easily be fixed if the IPC stream had an option to say active even when there is no data sent. Even just a 2 second latency on stopping the IPC stream would fix it. It's so annoying that there is a stutter every time you switch songs.

I know that there are many people who have had the same issue over many many years, and there has been no attempt to fix it.

So... to the developers: Can you please fix this issue.

Have you set/adjusted the buffers/latency in Options/Audio? There are 3 or 4 different settings that might help with the stutter (for example, see Devices Settings under Options/Audio).

FYI... there is a search box at the bottom of the Options window which greatly facilitates filtering/finding a specific item among the myriad of MC options.
