Broken links - too long filenames
« on: May 10, 2024, 06:43:34 am »

I found something weird - if the file name is too long, JRiver are reporting these files under broken links. What is the maximum for file names which one MC can handle?

Did you enable the feature to support long file names? It should be enabled in both MC and in Windows (File Explorer) itself.

You'll need to enable the long file name support in MC options.

I believe you'll also need to enable the long file name support in Windows as well.

Many thanks for your fast replies. Long file names are switched on in MC and Windows - made a reboot and checked it again - same situation - broken links are showing these files - this is the expression - [Custom]=[/[/=ismissing/(/[filename/]/)/]/=1]. It is not an important situation.

Another question and help please: I would need an expression "counting albums per artist".

Thanks for your help in advance
