JRemote2 v Mo4Media away from home

(1/1)

JTrt:
It's my experience that JRemote2 is feeble when you're trying to stream away from my home network. Switching from wifi to 5G will kill the stream and it never recovers. I end up having to reconnect to my server again. It doesn't pick up where it left off, it's like my session never happened. Compare this to Mo4Media. It not only handles the switch to 5G, but if it loses the signal it will actually recover the majority of the time. Furthermore, Mo4Media keeps my sessions for both MC and the device cached. I can close the app, open it back up, pick player or my device and the last session is right there. I also get metadata from Mo4Media, but not consistently. JRemote2 doesn't even try. I like the look and feel of JRemote2 more, but Mo4Media is functionally a better piece of software. Why the big discrepancy?
