Yes it does and you don't need to put it anywhere - Once MC has recognised the CD Right Click on the CD Player Entry in Drives & Devices and select the 7th Option Down - "Update from CDPlayer.ini". Unfortunately you have to do it for every CD you want to use the info/metadata held in the CDPlayer.ini instead of any other source.

well mc does not ask for a location, so I do not know where to put the cdplayer.ini that is used by another program that uses freedb that I want to get the info from.

Ok, here it is, mc looks in the windows folder for cdplayer.ini
