Is there a way to verify files in MC?

flac.rules:
Flac files for instance has a md5-hash of the audio part of the file, if i understand correctly. Is there a way verify the audio in MC? Eventually also for mp3s? I understand i can calculate cheksums with external programs, but tag-changes and such can change that, checking that the audio part is correct and matches a checksum in the tag would be useful.
