Possibility to handle corrupted files a bit better?

flac.rules:
I tried playing a corrupted flac-file in MC, the program hanged up totally for maybe 30-45 seconds (not responding, many would probably have forced quit), is it possible to make the program handle this a bit better? Maybe not lock up the UI if it going to try for such a long time?
