Can't open Media Center 32
rblnr:
Have trashed and re-downloaded the MC32 .58 installer several times now; the program seems to install fine into the Applications folder, but crashes everytime I attempt to open it. Have used prior version w/no issue, so no idea what's up.
Running Sonoma 14.5 on a M1 Macbook Pro. Any ideas appreciated, thanks.
And as an update, tried to install .57, entered my reg code (didn't get that option w/the 58 attempts), and the program crashed immediately after entering it.

Thanks. Can’t even get to anything about permissions, etc., the program crashed before that.
MC 30 runs ok on the computer btw.

You can set the permissions on the MAC. You do not need to have MC open. After the permissions are set you should be able to open MC. These need to be made for Media Center 32.
I'm not looking at any documentation, but from memory these are the settings you need to make.
System Settings-->Privacy & Security-->
Files and Folders
Accessibility
Input Monitoring
Screen & System Audio Recording
EnglishTiger:
If you are running an AntiVirus, Non-Apple Firewall or any other Security Software - Remove them and then reinstall MC32.
