i have two sonos symfonisk speakers that i can not play music to from jriver
Awesome Donkey:
Have you tried rebooting everything?
kritike24:
i will try that now, when i setup my jriver media server i set it to import from my nas using unc \\ip\share so now i added my drives to the client pc via unc.bat so the client can play the files on the client rather than get a stream from the server. i think that may improve other things, but as of right now still not working with sonos. let me restart both server and client pcs and see what happens. is there a way to tell that the file is playing on the client pc from the unc path rather than getting stream from server?? i have the option checked off.

Did you read that?
kritike24:
i did, but i tested the same speaker that is located in same network on the jriver server and it worked... so i am leaning more towards it being something network related... how does music get sent to these speakers via dlna?
kritike24:
just a heads up i sent a file local on my pc to one of the speakers via w10 dlna and no problem. so it has to do with jriver and most likely my network. if jriver can see both players and ips under players then any idea what has to be done maybe additional port forwards in firewall? i disabled windows firewall and that did not work...running out of ideas lol
