Probably not. I'm quite happy with how the current detection works and covers 99% of the problem.

hello:
Since the introduction of black bar detection, I have had no luck with it.

most of the mkvs do come with 16:9 aspect ratio, and this ratios remains so

I hope MC 33 will improve on it.

My library has over 5000 mkvs.

probably i don't understand exactly question, but if use madvr as decoder in the jriver, it change aspect automatically, if video have 16:9 and 21:9 frames. madvr make the frames bigger at 21:9 and get back to normal when frames 16:9. for this need open advanced settings for madvr inside jriver settings and set right settings for it works right.
