MC33.exe not found in JRiver v33.0.13

(1/1)

srb:
I was previously using desktop shortcuts to launch specific playlists.

Example:  "C:\Windows\System32\MC32.exe /Play TREEPATH="Playlists\Radio - Audiophile Jazz"

Both Media Center v29 and v32 installed an additional executable in C:\Windows\System 32 (MC29.exe and MC32.exe) and apparently this executable is necessary to run command lines as they don't work using the normal program executable Media Center 33.exe found in C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 33\.

However Media Center 33 install did not install the executable MC33.exe in System 32, nor can I find it anywhere on the system drive.  Did my installation for some reason fail to install the file or has that functionality been removed?

Thanks!

Matt:
I have a copy in my install path, C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

Awesome Donkey:
It's in mine as well. The only thing I can think of is something like an antivirus app blocking MC from adding them during install.

dtc:
With one of my installs, the install file got caught by an antivirus program (Avast) and one of the things it identified was MC32.exe. I eventually got it installed, but as AD says, may be antivirus related.

srb:
And indeed it was anti-virus related.  With no popups or notifications during install, AVAST had quarantined 3 files (but oddly, not the missing MC33.exe file):

hh_portable.dll
JRiverASIODriver64.dll
Media Core Launcher.exe

reporting them infected with Win64:Evo-gen[Trj]

I disabled the network adapter, disabled AVAST anti-virus and re-ran the installation.  The missing MC33.exe file was written to both OS locations.

Thanks for your help, guys.
