JRiver33 stops playing after 5 sec
HTPC-Freak:
I have purchased Jriver33 recently as an upgrade to JRiver 28 - long term user since JRiver 15 or so ...
Then I installed the setup file I stored on the local computer with Internet cable disconnected and Windows defender switched off.
After install of MC33, I reconnected Internet and switched on Windows Defender.
All folders of windows defender, having anything to do with JRiver and/or involved files to playback are included in
Windows Defender excludes.. (remember: taming windows defender).
There is no other antivirus installed...
Then I tried to play one of my favorite internet radio stations "NDR Kultur", after I have double-checked the current URL is valid and setup correctly in JRiver.
When I push the play knob it plays the station music for 3 sec then stops (crashes ?!) - I have no idea, what to do...
The log says:

....
I have no idea, what it caused, that JRiver just don't play...
What should I do ?
The zip-file, JRiver logging creates is attached for the developers to analyse...
Can someone let me know, how I can use the purchased MC33 installation ?
Many thanks...
JimH:
Try switching from Edge to Chromium.
Options > Tree & View > Web Engine
HTPC-Freak:
Thanks for quick answer...
I changed the web engine to Chromium, however no difference:
after 5 sec it stops playing - then after another 2sec it fades in playing again, without doing anything, then after 10sec it stops again an JRiver app often crashs or stayed playing nothing...
do you want another zip log file with Chromium web engine ?
JimH:
Is this only on web streaming?
Only some stations or all?
HTPC-Freak:
I think this is not happening with own files, which I play from internal SSD
At least I found HLS and AAC webstreaming showing this issue...
If other webstreaming like MP3 work, I don't know, as I don't use MP3 streams - too low quality
Here is another logging zip file with Chromium as web engine (attached...)
