Suddenly no sound in MC32 with 2 different devices

I use the latest MC32 on two different computers running into two different DACs: Yamaha NX500 via USB, and MSB Select via their Pro-USB. The first computer uses Windows 11, the second uses a heavily modified version of Windows server 2019.

Last week both stopped outputting sound. In each case I can play sound using other software, and I can access and check the speakers through Control Panel/Sound, but in neither case can I get sound to output from MC32, no matter which Audio Device I select within Options.

It seems odd that it happened simultaneously (as far as I can tell – I didn't try to use both on the same day) on two quite different systems.

Anybody else had this problem? Any thoughts how to solve it?
