Output Encoding for videos
« on: September 12, 2024, 11:15:47 pm »

Hello everyone, I'm using the output encoding (DSP Studio) in order to convert and send every file in DSD x8 to my DAC.
It work perfectly with every audio files, but it doesn't convert to DSD whenever I play a video, why?
Thanks!  :)

DSD with video content isn't supported. There's no format or standard where mixing DSD audio with video content exists, so that's why. DSD is purely audio only and it can't be used with video content like that. Plus there's other potential issues (like having to use two outputs since DSD over HDMI/DP from a computer isn't possible) you'd encounter.

tl;dr it's not possible.
