Help: display expression for Media Network not saving

I have a customized display expression that I use in Media Network (for JRemote). It works fine.

I recently changed it, but it keeps reverting to the old one. It stays saved until I restart MC, which is required for it to work on the Media Network. Why does this expression not save but the other one does? I have tested the same display expression in Theater View and it works fine.

For the curious, here's the expression:


if(isempty([Primary Artist, 1]),  /(Multiple Artists/),
unswap([All Artists (Last Name), 1]))

The one that stays saved is

unswap([All Artists (Last Name), 1])

Why might that first expression not be saving?
