Just recently bought JRiver 32
« on: October 19, 2024, 01:15:26 pm »

I purchased the Master Version (windows and mac install) of JRiver 32 in May 4, 2024.
Not exactly excited about paying more to upgrade software for that I purchased a couple months ago.

Is there some window where you can upgrade to 33 without paying?

Upgrades are optional, not required. If you're happy with MC32 then keep using that. But if there's a feature in MC33 that tickles your fancy I'm sure the upgrade would be most appreciated. :)

It's not about the upgrades, vs. maintaining and fixing bugs...e.g. being able to switch sound outputs without it crashing.
Does this mean JRiver 32 will still be maintained by you guys and bug fixes will still happen?

MC32's development has ended, MC33 is the main development focus right now.

It crashing is something that shouldn't be happening. You should start a new topic in the MC32 section on that one and maybe post more information about your setup and if you got any logs of the crashes or crash reports from the OS that'd likely help too. If it randomly crashes that could be something like bad files (which you can try disabling auto-import and see if crashes stop). If it crashes specifically when switching sound outputs, that could be something else altogether (e.g. driver related or something). But yeah, that should be in a topic all its own. You could also try running MC33 in its 30 day free trial (making sure it imports all your settings and library from MC32) and see if you can reproduce the crashes there as I'm sure Matt especially would want to know if it does crash.

P.S. I don't work for JRiver, I'm the friendly neighborhood male enhancement bot removal donkey. :P
