Help With Custom Library Views and Pushing These to JRemote
« on: October 29, 2024, 04:07:54 pm »

Hi

I'm trying to redo my configuration of JRiver after having to reinstall Windows and do everything from scratch.  I last did this 10 years ago!

I had split my view of audio albums into Stereo and Multichannel (and used Zoneswitch to route stereo to my Juli@ card and multichannel to HDMI output depending on number of channels).

I can see how to create a view called, for example, "Audio - Stereo" as a sub-view of Audio and which shows only files with 2 channels. I can then display these by Album Artist and, within that, by Album. What I can't seem to do is push this view to JRemote so that I can select there Audio -> Audio - Stereo and then browse by Artist, Album or whatever. In fact, I can't seem to get any customization of views in JRemote.

Ideas?

Options>Media Network>Advanced>Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel. In there you can add an item from Standard View if you've already created it. I agree that it would be nice to be able to keep the Standard View and JRemote views consistent, but this is the closest thing available. Also remember that you can use the search box in the lower left of Options to search for "JRemote" or other options.

Hmm I did this.  Added my item from Standard View and even deleted some of the default 7 items. JRemote didn't update. Restarted both JRiver MC and JRemote but no joy. Restarted iPhone, no joy...

EDIT: restarted audio server computer and got joy

Thanks!

Any changes only take effect when the Media Server is restarted , JUST the server you don't need to restart the computer

click the JRiver icon next to the clock/date on RHS of task bar and select Close Media Centre and Media Server

Then just restart MC - Job done
