Cover Art Corruption Issue
« on: Yesterday at 08:44:27 am »

I am not sure how to properly describe this one. I added a cover art image for an album, and somehow that image is now appearing as the art for songs that should not have that image.

As best I can determine, all of the improper placements occur in files that are part of a smart playlist that include some of the files that received the initial image placement.

Further, it seems that trying to rebuild thumbnails for images yields unpredictable results. In some cases, I get an image that is on the clipboard, and in others I get the initial image referenced above. No action involving cover art placement seem to be operating as expected.

I have restored my entire JRiver 32 folder inside the Application Support with older versions retrieved from backups, but the album art issue persists. It’s super annoying. I actually went through what seems to be the same issue years ago and spent months and months coming across incorrect album art images which I would swap out when I encountered them. I don’t want to do that again!

Where is your cover art stored? In a central directory? In folder.jpg/nameofalbum.jpg? tags?
