Ignore Files Previously Deleted not functioning?
« on: January 13, 2025, 03:17:18 am »

When I delete music files I don't want --- Auto Import puts them back when it rescans.   I have the "Ignore Files Previously Deleted" box checked.

What am I doing wrong?

Dennis - Set up a smartlist where the only entry in Modify Results is Limit Database to Removed. That smartlist will list all the files/tracks in the removed files database.

If the tracks AutoImport keeps importing are not listed in the results from the Smartlist that could be the reason why it keeps re-importing them because AutoImport uses the Removed Files Database to help it decide which tracks it should import.

I set up the smartlist and it was initially empty.   I then deleted a couple of files and sure enough, they now showed up in the smartlist.   I ran Auto Import and the files remained deleted and remained in the smartlist.   So I deleted a couple of more files and repeated the Auto import and doggone it, the original two deleted files were put back.

Something I'doing right.

UPDATE **** ---   Now it is working again.   I'm scratching my head.......
