how do I remove "Ratings" column?
« on: January 20, 2025, 04:58:26 pm »

Dear All,

I use Media Center every day to play music. I have a lot of albums. How can I remove the column entitled "Ratings" universally, for all the records in my Library? I don't use it, and it just takes up space.

with thanks

Right click on the Ratings column and uncheck it from the list that pops up.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

But can I remove the "Ratings" column universally? I can easily remove it from the info about individual albums, but I want the "Ratings" column to go away everywhere. Is that possible?

Media Center is a very complicated program. I'll never use but a fraction of its capabilities, but I want to be able to tweak the parts that I want to tweak.

What view are you using? If you look at the view that displays all media there's a Ratings pane, correct? Maybe post a screenshot?

Thanks for this. Here is a screen shot of what I usually see. You'll see that the info for the specific album I selected randomly shows a column entitled "Ratings" with a group of dots under it. I want this "Ratings" column to cease to exist everywhere!

Click on the different section, e.g. Albums then click back on Artists, so it lists all artists and all tracks at once. Then right click on the Ratings column to remove it from the entire Artists view. Repeat with other views you want to do it on (Albums, Panes, etc.).
