I seem to have quite a few movie files that don’t respond to subtitle shifting. These files include DVD, Bluray and 4K UHD formats. This is especially frustrating on a widescreen movies where my Cinemascope screen has pushed the black bars off the bottom of the screen and nothing is visible.
What are the requirements for shifting to be supported from OSD? I tried setting a default value in the Configuration menu but that does not work either.
It would be helpful if MC33 could recognize files that won’t allow shifting and disabled the option in the OSD.
