Turning up Volume R128 or Volume Replay Gain Manually
« on: February 04, 2025, 01:19:11 pm »

I use the Analyze Volume feature and it works well most of the time.  Every once in a while I end up with a track that is inherently very soft or low volume and it ends up unlistenable unless I manually adjust volume during playback.

If I mod the R128 making it more negative that turned the volume up in one experiment I did.  Are there drawbacks to that?  For example, are there dynamics involved with Peak Level and Dynamic Range that could cause problems?

No drawbacks.  I have tinkered with one or two before with no problem.
