How Do I Make A Half Space Between Letters?

(1/2) > >>

Will N. Dowd:
If anyone knows how to make a half space between letters on MC32 please reply. From what I can find online the shift + space keyboard function just makes a regular space, and I'm looking for a half space if it's possible. Thank you!

zybex:
You can copy a unicode Thin Space or Hair Space from this site (there's a 'copy' button) and paste it on MC:
https://unicode-explorer.com/articles/space-characters

Visual example: https://jkorpela.fi/chars/spaces.html

You can also type any unicode character in Windows, but you first need to enable this feature with a registry key; then you can hold ALT and type +2009 to enter a thin space. Instructions:
https://unicode-explorer.com/articles/how-to-type-unicode-characters-in-windows

You can also enter it in Expressions with the Char() function, but you'll have to convert the character code to decimal. for U+2009, that would be Char(8201).

Will N. Dowd:
Thanks for the detailed reply and instructions.

Tried the copy function on some of the codes first...all it did on all of them was put a square in where I wanted the space!

zybex:
That means the font you're using doesn't support those characters. Try changing the font. Try it first in Word or Excel.

Will N. Dowd:
Yes I assumed that was the case.

With so many fonts in MC32 can you name one or some that support all unicode codes?

I can't remember the default MC font anymore.

I'm using Franklin Gothic Bold 12 now.
