Ratings are overwritten

Frank Machiels:
Trying to move my music to a new laptop. When restoring the library that contains the old info onto the new device, the ratings of songs are overwritten by (I think) tag info that is stored in the song file. I can't stop MC from doing that. Consequently I face re-rating thousands of songs. How to avoid ?
