How to delete missing files from the library

<< < (2/3) > >>

zybex:

--- Quote ---Of the "54437 removed" Can I assume that those were the missing files that brought me here to ask about in 1st place?

--- End quote ---
Yes.

--- Quote ---Failed to import 20 files." Should that be a concern? I have to wonder what those are and why they failed?
"Skipped 6609 files (previously determined to be bad)."

That really concerns me. So there are still "bad" files in my library? And which are they and how do I deal with them?

--- End quote ---

Type this into the search box to see the list of 6609 files tracked by MC in its Bad database:
~d=b

You can then check those files outside of MC - they may be corrupt, incomplete, truncated or otherwise unsupported by MC. If you remove the files from the Bad database and re-run autoImport, MC will try to import them again - HOWEVER, note that MC may crash while trying to import a bad file! If you want to try this I suggest you first backup the database.

Cheers again mate

That is some real insider helpful info

Please see attached

Is that how I type as you say?

Nowt happened when I did that?

Do I need to search in a particular pane to the left?

Cheers

zybex:
Yes, that's the box. Try it on the Audio->Files view, which shows the individual files with their paths.
Also, press ENTER afterwards :) The count below should show "6609 files" or close.

leperlord:
Cheers again

Well that was closer

It actually gave a result, but the result was "No search results"

UPDATE

I tried all the panes and nowt

zybex:
OK, weird. Maybe those 6609 files were already removed as part of the "missing" ones. Check with ~d=r

Another possibility is that they're not Audio files. Try ~d=b in Video->Files and Image->Files as well.
