I clearly have too much time on my hands so have done a complete list of all the fields in the Metadata of MC 33 and have attached that list in a NotePad file.

FYI I used MS Powertoys TextExtractor (Free!!) which does its best to extract text from a picture - in my case a screenshot of Media Centre Tag.  It does a pretty good job - not perfect but worthwhile.

There's a few more than that

See the button in the tag window header, to the left of where it says "Tag"?
Click that, then Customise
Add the entry named "All Fields", press OK to see what you got.

Even that won't show all of them... There are also many stock fields that are hidden...

To really see everything, right click on a field name and choose "Customize this field"
You are now looking at the MC field manager.

See the dropdown menu in the top left corner? Open that and choose "All fields (including hidden fields)"

Now, you're looking at a complete list

or if by metadata, you mean field saved in file tags, there's a filter for that in the drop-down list too.

OMG.  I just lost the will to live

On a more serious note -  I have ordered the Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen2 and just seeing what can be done to utilize the work I have put into Media Centre over the years.  Top of the list is to be able to view/modify/insert a rating against a track. I am not overly optimistic but one thing might be the ability to download the JRiver Android app to the Eversolo.  I have written to Eversolo to ask what fields they support.

You seem to be very well informed Marko,  so can you answer this for me .... Are any all or just some of the fields you described unique to MC or are they a set of generic industry standard fields.

Things would certainly be a lot cleaner after that! Wouldn't you need a sudo in front of that, for that finishing sparkle?

Here's a real thing though... As various expression fields get added over time, and they get a good testing workout at the time, and the slowdown is barely noticeable, if at all, and all is good, and as the daily user, I am very happy. I do not know of any other software out there that offers the level of flexibility to the user that MC does...

About a year ago, during a bout of trouble-shooting, I ran for about a week with a default, out-of-the-box library, and the speed was incredible. Don't get me wrong, even with all the current tricks and tweaks built up over 22 years, things are still super fast, nothing is an issue, but, a virgin MC library with 50k files? Blistering fast!

The recently added "allow custom data to override expression" field setting has been a great help, especially in my photo library on the HTPC.

Back around 2007, I began experimenting with Pix01 templates. The idea was to show the photo with some origin info from the tags included, so I put all the html into expression based fields to generate the content, as can be seen here..

It was a lot of work (for me) at the time, and I got it working quite well, but then, it stalled and never really went anywhere after that. For some reason, I can't bring myself to delete the fields. Every time I've done library spring cleaning, I get to those, and, yeah, maybe next time
