Author Topic: "Level Volume with Replay Gain" in JRemote Not Working in Multiple Scenarios  (Read 170 times)

I've tested the "Level volume with replay gain" function in three different scenarios, and it's not working as expected.

I connected my iPhone 14 Pro directly to a Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar and played a Smartlist from my Car Radio folder using JRemote—but the volume leveling function did not work.

I then saved the same song list to my computer, played it back through the same Ambeo soundbar, with volume leveling enabled in DSP Studio—this time, every track was properly volume leveled.

I also tested the function with AirPods Pro and Bluetooth to my car stereo, but volume leveling still did not work in either case.

Questions:
Is the "Level volume with replay gain" function using only Volume Leveling, or is it also incorporating Adaptive Volume?

What might be causing volume leveling to work in DSP Studio but not in JRemote?

I've been buying Media Center for over 10 years, hoping they would finally develop volume leveling for JRemote—and now that it’s here, it isn’t working. I’ve had limited support with recent forum posts, but I really need help with this issue.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I have the same question, how do I get volume leveling working on my Android phone when using *either* Jremote3 or JRiver for Android. I haven't succeeded getting it to work with either.

  • The color of Spring!

Don't think either one supports volume leveling.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

When playing a mix of tracks from pre-nineties and more current music, leveling is huuuuge benefit. The difference between non-loudness wars seventies/eighties stuff and newer music is massive  :(
