Segmentation fault when starting MC33

Appears the installJRMC script worked and installed MC. But if it's still segfaulting that's something not related to it.

What's the specs of the PC you're trying to run MC33 on? CPU? GPU?

Also, try removing the user folder under the users .jriver/Media Center 33 (keeping in mind that if you don't have a license you will lose trialware).
Make sure the ownership under .jriver is correct. (never run under sudo)
Don't interrupt MC on it's first start (it will be slow because it's copying a lot of stuff into user space)

- Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
- Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5 7600 × 12
- GPU: AMD Radeon™ RX 580 Series

JRiver MC30 works without any issues...

Also, I did remove the directory as suggested. When attempting to start JRiver, I was asked for license. After this, the directory was re-generated. Not other changes. Exactly the same behavior as first time.

MC30 has older library requirements.
Can you install gdb and run it under that?
gdb mediacenter33
then
run
IIRC.
When it crashes do a
bt full
The lines at the top are the most important, especially the one where the crash actually occurs. Can you post them here?
