I am either getting senile or dumber by the day when it comes to setting up Lip Sync (A/V sync).

I understand that there is a per zone feature that can be set up in TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> VIDEO -> ADVANCED one each for 50, 60 120 Hz and for 24 Hz.  It's my understanding that this is for the entire zone regardless of what file type I am playing back.

I also understand that there is a per file setting that can be reached with the SHIFT + either a < or and >.  My question is this change a delta applied on top of the settings per zone or is this an entire replacement for the file.  Let's say that the zone is set for a value of -50ms and I used the keyboard to set in a -120ms.  Is the total value for this file -120ms or is it a total value of -170ms?

Also, as I have files in both NTSC and PAL is the setting for 50, 60 120 Hz applicable to PAL at 25 Hz as well as the NTSC stuff?

Finally, does the Desktop refresh rate set on the computer and the MC Display Settings variable interactive and do they also have the ability to mess with A/V sync?
