Player stops near the end of file
« on: April 16, 2025, 03:58:44 pm »

Hi All,

I keep having a pause near the end of a music file. It lasts about 3-5 seconds then resumes, pauses then resumes. In the Banner it says "waiting." how can I eliminate this behavior?

Thanks for any suggestions

In the last few seconds of a track it is loading the next track. Waiting probably means a disk is spinning up

Hi,

I've tried a number of variations, only playing one tune, play file in memory or disk, and different track changes with and without additional tracks. Behaves similar, but not consisent. This seems to come and go for no reason.

Need ay further info?

Thanks

Not sure what is going on. Did you try Memory Playback - Whole Album? That would eliminate any disk issue.

Other than that, I am not much help.

Have you experimented with Options > Audio > Prebuffering?
I use the default "6 seconds (recommended)" without issues, but you might also try shorter and longer.

More details might help:  MC version, hardware setup, audio format, bit streaming, etc.

Hi,

I resoled the problem by going to gapless track change. It seems that any other track change option results in unpredictable behavior. I don't have the time or patience to explore further.

Thanks for ypur help.
