Can you use the directories rule for artists or albums with accented characters in their name, or Windows does not permit directories/folders to contain accents?

I use the rule:  Artist\Artist - Title.  However artists names with an accent such as Thalía result in there being 2 listings of the same file in the jukebox:

D:\My Music\Thalía\Thalía - Reencarnacion
D:\My Music\THALIA\Thalía - Reencarnacion

I can delete the one I don't want from Media Jukebox, but it will re-appear the next time I import files.

Any suggestions for better file name convention to use, or how I may avoid this problem?
