Convolution Auto switching issue?
« on: April 23, 2025, 03:42:10 pm »

Whether I selct "Automatically switch filter based on input format (recommended)" or not, the filter always shows the first one I selected when I setup convolution. As you can see in this screenshot, the music is 24/192 but MC still says it's using my 48kHz filter. All my filters are in the same folder as cfg and wav files. I assume MC can automatically find the right one?

filenames are wrong

see https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Convolution#Cfg_File_Format_Features and https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,131641.msg912797.html#msg912797
Very cool. I have it working thanks to your help.

Question: Does MC upsample/downsample the filter if I only use a single filter for all sample rates? For example, if I use a 48kHz filter and I play 192kHz music, will MC resample the filter? Hang Loose Convolver does this very well.

Yes it will resample, not sure what algorithm it uses for that though
