Volume control on the Mac
« on: April 28, 2025, 07:52:03 pm »

Just installed 34... It's great (as usual). However I noticed something I think, since 32. When I'm running MC, the volume control on the Mac gets disabled. Is that by design? It's no big deal one way or the other. Just curious.

Is exclusive mode enabled for the CoreAudio output you're using? If so, that's probably why.

That was it.
I suppose exclusive mode ensures no skipping, etc?

BTW.. I really love the server aspect of MC.

It ensures bit-perfect audio playback and prevents other apps (and macOS' system mixer) from messing with it.
