Just started using the engen remote control feature for the first time. My goal is to run a bat file when video is started.

There are two issues I noticed:

1) The 'Run Invisible' option does not stay checked in the settings. So whenever I play a video, I see the bat file flash up on the screen. I've tried re-checking it, even deleting and re-adding the command, but it never stays checked.

2) There is a noticeable delay in playing the video, almost 2 full seconds. I realize that MC is running the engen command I added, but it seems like the playback engine for the video should be started first or at the same time as the engen command. Or at least make this configurable.

+1 re the invisible option that doesn't remain checked (I reported this in the other thread befire seeing this one).
Also I tried to change the extension to .vbs (as .bat files always show, at least in the OS) but MC rejected the file. Please could you accept .vbs files as external commands if you can't make .bat files run invisible?
