After years of using only Standard View, I am now exploring Theater View as an Audio Playback option.  To this end, MC has a great feature for copying Standard View Thumbnail Text to Theater View, but it seems to be incomplete for Audio Views which contain "stacked" Categories.  All the Categories themselves transfer nicely, i.e. the Category structure "Expression to Group By" is populated and works nicely in Theater View.  But I find only the 1st category's Thumbnail Text ("Expression to display...") gets copied to Theater View, while the 2nd and subsequent Categories come across with empty custom display text.

To reproduce:  Create a Theater View from a saved Audio View which has at least two Categories, both with Thumbnail text:
Options > Theater View > Items to show > Add... > Library Item from Standard View > Audio\(select a view w multiple categories)
Does a nice job, but the expression transfer is complete only for the 1st category.  Seems like a bug or oversight to me.

Workaround:  Manually copy/paste the missing Thumbnail Text expression code from Standard to Theater View.

Note:  Standard View has unlimited lines of Thumbnail Text, whereas Theater View allows only 2 lines.  I would like to see 3 lines in Theater View, but that is not my issue here.

Thanks.

Apparent Solution (pilot errors in OP by a Theater View newbie  :-[ )

(1) Standard View:  The entry in View Tab (or RMB Tree Item) > Customize View > Show Categories in this order > Edit > Category > "Expression to display ..." appears in the left pane Organization Tree for each Category.  Thumbnail Text is entered separately per Category from the respective View Tab dropdown menu.

(2) Theater View:  The entry in Options > Theater View > Details > Edit > Category "Expression to display ..." appears as Thumbnail Text (there is no left pane Organization Tree visible in this View!).  There is no separate Thumbnail Text entry.

Therefore, to show the equivalent of Standard View Custom Thumbnail Text in Theater View, it is always necessary to manually enter/edit the custom expression in Theater View's Edit > Category > "Expression to display".

The ...Add... command referenced in my OP works correctly, as is, to transfer all Categories (but does not transfer custom Thumbnail text).

Suggestion:  Add a few words to the popup menus ... Edit > Category > "Expression to display" to clarify where the expressions will show.  Example:  For (1) "Expression to display in Organization Tree ..."  For (2), "Expression to display under Thumbnail ..." (see attachment).  As is, these menus appear virtually identical, yet implement very different end results depending on context (the menu is "overloaded") - a prescription for customer confusion.
