I would appreciate some advice and guidance please...
Specify Monitor in multi-monitor configurationI have a 3 monitor configuration; all are mini-DP outputs from the graphics card (nVidia T1000 8GB).
The PC's default and 2nd screen utilise mini-DP to HDMI adapters; the third screen uses native DP.
I am finding that irrespective of which screen I set MC up on, when it is closed and then re-opened, it always appears on Screen 3 (which is often utilised by another PC via a switchable input under Dell Display Manager). I want MC to always be presented on Screen 2. I am aware of the Settings option to specify a Monitor in Full Screen mode but have not located any similar setting for the main MC window.
How do I set MC to always appear on Screen 2 ?
Windows Sizing & PlacingMC likes to completely 'fill' any window; with the minimise button it is possible to manually drag both horizontal and vertical edges to create a custom size window, eg. filling a quarter of the available screen. But, unlike many (most) other programmes, it does not 'snap' to defined subdivisions of the window, either via the Windows native Win+Cursor or similar 3rd party mechanisms (eg. Dell Easy Arrange). It will toggle between full window and set smaller instance with Win+Up/Down keys, but that is very limited and also seems to cause it to jump to a different monitor.... (However, Shift+Win+Cursor does works as expected to move between monitors).
Is there a setting I've missed to enable MC's Windowing behaviour to be set as described ?
With thanks in advance for some shared wisdom from the community !
Best regards,
Kevin
PS. I have just spotted the following post by @kuyper which has synergies concerning MC's behaviour characteristics in multi-monitor arrangements....
