Novice ripping help
« on: January 19, 2003, 05:27:58 am »

Forgive the novice question, but I need some help with ripping a CD that has 14 tracks which are all mixed into one long track. (kind of like a live concert recording or DJ mix CD)
How to I rip the CD to my hardrive as one long track without getting the 2 second gap between each track?

Hope I've explained myself properly,
Thanks in advance

I've been harping on this ability (and lack of) since I was a baby. There is no way (in v8 for sure...and v9 AFAIK) to prevent either from track splitting off a CD. HOWEVER...EAC (Exact Audio Copy) does a beautiful job of doing splitless ripping (and it's a free download).

Thanks for the reply. I found another alternative here: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

It seems to do the job nicely. I'm sure this function would make a great addition to MC9 if it could be incorporated somehow.
