Today I have been working on a Database of Lyrics (Lyrics For about 6,000 music files)

Today I also added a this option to my program (Chart finder) to search out your files and look thru the lyrics database for matches if a match is found it will save the Lyrics to the MJ\MC database and MJ\MC will then also save this to the ID3v2 Lyrics Tags.

It would be nice to have any lyrics Databases any user may be collecting so I can add it to the program.

I may post an update of the program soon (Maybe Sunday 19-Jan-03) and would like to add as much to the database as I can.

Any One with a Lyrics Database?

Out of My 25,000+ Mp3 files the program found about 6000+ files that needed Lyrics added to them and it added them for me.

Ownership of MJ\MC is required for it to save the data to your files.

I have just started thinking about adding lyrics to my files but the prospect of adding to 2000 seemed like a crazy deal...can't even imagine adding to 20000.  If you could get this up and running it would be a really powerful tool...

i do have some lyrics .
but i do not think they are in a data base. If yes i just do not know where
They are in the tags,this i know.
the tags are not done with MC if of any importance.

Beside this the lyrics are for songs far far far from  any chart.

I don't have lyrics. Never even considered them.
But I never considered cover art associations until it became easy. Now they ALL are in the process of having some sort of picture associated with each file. Of course I have over 10,000. Quite a large task.

I just put an Update Up With The Lyrics Feature

It went thru all 25,000 of my files in about an Hour and added all the lyrics.

I was thinking about making something that would allow a user to rip the lyrics from the MC9 Database and saving it to a database so i could use it to add to my program.

not sure about that but it did pop in my head

But I Still would like to hear from someone that may have any database of Lyrics.

Hiya Sparta,

I think I had sent you a DB I had awhile back (4-5 mos), but can resend it if it'll help. Full lyrics of ~500ish songs.

I used to keep all Lyrics in LRC files. Safer, more convenient, etc. Lack of LRC support in MJ made me convert to embedded Tag lyrics.

I don't know of a way to extract the Lyrics easily from the embedded files --- so what I can send isn't the most complete.

They are also in LRC format:

[00:00]Who can say

etc, and many are timestamped. Clearly you would not want timestamped LRC for this type of project. I think what I sent you before was all converted to plain text - if that will help.
