cdplayer.ini folder in W2000
« on: January 04, 2003, 09:49:18 am »

I cannot find the 'cdplayer.ini' folder in Windows 2000.
Anyone knows where it is?
I saved a few hundreds cds infos before formating/installing Windows 2000.
I would like to re-put them in the 'cdplayer.ini' folder.
As i did with Windows ME
Thanks

The file should be c:\winnt\cdplayer.ini

If the file isn't already there you should just be able to copy your old one to c:\winnt

Thank you.
Now let me tell you why my answer.
It is a new install of Windows 2000.
I gave a try to WinAmp and just played 2 cds- not wanting import my playlists in WinAmp-.
2 days after i just wanted to put in 'cdplayer.ini' cd infos saved on another drive and... no folder under this name.
After your answer ,i played a cd with MJ and 'cdplayer.ini' was created.
I played the 2 cds played with WinAmp.
One in Mj,one in MM.
Both jukebox needed to get the cd infos.

Because WinAmp DOES NOT PUT the cd infos in 'cdplayer.ini'.
Where? I cannot tell you cause after hours of searching i cannot find where.

Look like there is more bastards  on the net than in real life...
Not WinAmp on my system anymore but i feel like posting everywhere that WinAmp is spyware or have a trojan.....
