Bit Rate and File Sizes too large!
« on: December 22, 2002, 05:59:05 pm »

I just purchased and used version 88 a few days ago and tried ripping my 1st CD.  I chose MP3 Encoder VBR and Normal Quality as my parameters.  When it finished, I noticed that each song showed a bit rate of 1440 and a huge file size (>30MB) in the properties window! However, when I looked at the file sizes with Windows Explorer, they were all in the 3-5 MB range.  Is this a MC9 reporting bug?  Thanks.

When you finish ripping, you'll have 2 entries in the library for each track: a CDA entry representing the track on the CD (these will be under "CD & DVD"), and an MP3 entry representing the file on your hard drive (these will be under "Audio").   Make sure you're looking at the right one.
