Should MC9 Read CD-Text?
« on: December 17, 2002, 06:26:07 am »

Hey All,

I created a CD using CD-Text some time ago.  It is my own mix so it cannot be looked up.  Is MC9 supposed to read the CD-Text if the CD cannot be found in YADB?  Thanks.

Yep and it's working for me.  One caveat:  If the CD was burned with an earlier version of MJ, the CD-TEXT artist field wasn't being filled correctly.

I burned this CD with MJ8.  MC9 does not read any of the CD-Text period.  Thanks for the reply.

Try deleting the entry for the CD in the "CD & DVD" tree and in c:\winnt\cdplayer.ini then give it a shot again.   Your drive supports CD-TEXT right?
