WMP 9.0

Do i need WMP 9.0 (or any other player) installed?
I have WMP9.0 installed but I am continually asked (told) that I need to d/l WMP.  Why, if as I have the thing installed,  can't Media Jukebox find it? and do I really need it?

Hopefully I have the story right...  :)

The problem with playing WMP9 files in MJ/MC is that Microsoft has not released the final version of WMP9 yet nor the SDK (Software Developers Kit).  MJ/MC developers have said that until they get their hands on the SDK from Microsoft they won't be trying to fix WMP9 playback problems.
